Wendall Wright

May 29, 1955 — May 11, 2021

Mr. Wendall Wright, age 65 of Pearson, Ga. passed away, Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga. following a short illness.  A native of Douglas, Ga., Mr. Wright was born, May 29, 1955, son of Mr. and Mrs. Horace "Buck" and Annie Lee Teston Wright.  He worked as a lumber grader for many years with Ga. Pacific Company in Pearson, until poor health caused him to retire.  Mr. Wright enjoyed many different hobbies including, hunting, fishing, gardening, running dogs, and carpentry.  But most of all, he loved being with his family.  Everyone who knew Wendall, knew that his family came first, that his door was always open, and his heart was always full, though he did leave a soft spot just for his grandbabies.  Mr. Wright was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was preceded in death by his parents.  

Survivors include:

Wife:  Dawn Sirmans Wright of Pearson, Ga.

Son:  Dustin Wright and wife, Peggy of Pearson, Ga.

3 Daughters:  Brianna Gillis and husband, Michael of Willacoochee, Ga.

                     Elizabeth Mullis of Pearson, Ga.

                     Wendy Pittman of Pearson, Ga.

Brother:  Lonnie Wright of Douglas, Ga.

2 Sisters:  Sue McDuffie of Douglas, Ga.

                Marlene McDougald of Douglas, Ga.

7 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Graveside services for Mr. Wright were held, Friday, May 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Antioch Church Cemetery in Pearson, Ga. with Elder Stevie Sirmans and Bishop Clee Sirmans officiating.  Special musical selections included, "Amazing Grace" and "I Am a Child of God" rendered by c.d.  The interment followed in Antioch Cemetery with dedication of the grave given by Elder Stevie Sirmans.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
