Wayne Howell

Mr. Wayne Howell, age 68 of Pearson, Ga., passed away Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Advanced Healthcare and Rehab in Jeffersonville, Ga. following an extended illness.

A native of Hahira, Ga., Mr. Howell was born January 13, l952, son of George R. and Virginia Wilson Howell. He worked for many years with Hercules Co. and later as a truck driver and diesel mechanic.  He enjoyed fishing and tending to his garden and was of the Methodist Faith.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Howell.

Survivors include:

Wife:  Patsy Giddens Howell of Pearson, Ga.

Daughter:  Miranda Peterson and significant other Ryan Mason of Pearson, Ga.

Adopted Son:  Jesus Mosqueda of Pearson, Ga.

Brother:  Raymond Howell and wife, Vickie of Sumter, S.C.

Sister:  Martha Diaz-Rodriguez and husband, Luis of Jacksonville, Fla.

Several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives also survive.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Howell were held, Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Union Hill Church Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Edward Mathews officiating. Special music included “I’ll Fly Away” and “Shall WE Gather at the River” presented by CD. The interment followed in Union Hill Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers were, Jimmy Corbitt, Brice Corbitt, Bruce Corbitt, Ryan Mason, George Eversole, and Jesus Mosqueda.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made, in Mr. Howell's honor, to the charity of your choice.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
