Walter C. Smith

Mr. Walter C. Smith, age 80 of Folkston, Ga., formerly of McClenny, Fla., passed away Friday, April 22, 2022 at Baptist Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla.  Born February 24, 1942, in Scottsboro, Alabama, he was the son of J. B. & Nancy Ball Smith.  Mr. Smith made his home in Florida where he worked in the Heating and Cooling industry.  He loved to fish and spend time with his family.  Mr. Smith was of the Baptist faith and attended Emanuel Baptist Church of McClenny, Fla.  He was preceded in death, along with his parents, by his son, Walter C. Smith, Jr.

Survivors include:

2 Sons:  Joey W. Smith and wife, Lisa of Glen St. Mary's, Fla.

             Marty D. Smith of Yulee, Fla.

Brother:  Donnie Smith of Scottsboro, Al.

3 Grandchildren:  Olivia Jo Smith

                          Brooke Smith

                          Madison Smith

Several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Smith were held, Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Mt. Pleasant Church in Pearson, Ga., at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Bobby Fussell officiating.  Special musical selections included, "Amazing Grace", "Go Rest High" and "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" rendered by cd.  The interment followed in Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery. 

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
