Mrs. Thurza Louise Murray, age 60 of Baxley, Ga. passed away, Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Appling County HealthCare of Baxley, Ga., following a brief illness.
A native of Manning, South Carolina, Mrs. Murray was born, January 15, 1961, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Plowden and Thurza Ann Greenall. She made her home in the Millwood and Baxley, Ga. area for the past thirty years while she enjoyed being a homemaker, doing arts and crafts, riding 4-wheelers, taking care of and being with her family, and especially being a “Mimi” to her grandchildren.

Chryssy Bennett and husband, Mark of Pearson, Ga.

21 Grandchildren: Devon, Adrien, Darrien, Alyiah, Layne, Marina, Alexander, Ricky, Joseph, Cecilia, Darra, Ariel, Johnny, Alexis, Cason, Blaine, Emily, Jayden and Tyler, Jessica Emery and husband, Sgt. Chandler Emery, Matthew Dillon and wife, Samantha.
11 Great-Grandchildren: Kohen, Kenna, Ella, Jr., Reighlynn, Adley, Aiden, Payton, Daniel, David, and Paisley.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Murray were held, Monday, February 8, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Indian Mound Baptist Church in Millwood, Ga. with Bro. Clayton Davis officiating. Special musical selections included, “Go Rest High on that Mountain”, “Dancing in the Sky”, and “What a Day It Will Be” rendered by cd and “The Anchor Holds” rendered by soloist, Regina Delk. The interment followed in Indian Mound Cemetery with “Miracle in Me” rendered by Kandy Thrift and Regina Delk and a special song, played by cd, “Give Heaven Some Hell” that Mrs. Murray’s grandson, Cason Bennett, dedicated to his Mimi.
Serving as active pallbearers were grandsons, Matthew Dillon Davis, Cason Bennett, Devon Rivas, Adrien Galvan, Darren Galvan, Alexander Galvan, Blaine Bennett, and Johnny Davis, III.
Honorary pallbearers were Mark Bennett, Johnny Farrell Davis, Alex Galvan, and Bill Hollinger.
Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
