Ms. Ann Corbitt, age 71, of Douglas, Ga. passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at her residence in Douglas, Ga. She was born, April 18, 1950, in Douglas, Ga., daughter of William F. and Cleo Starling Corbitt. After living over 10 years in Atlanta, Ms. Ann made her way back home to South Georgia where she continued her work in the Insurance industry as an agent, for many years, with Tanner Insurance Company. Ms. Ann was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and in her spare time enjoyed going to yard sales, attending cookouts, traveling, loved reading and spending time with friends. She was preceded in death, along with her parents, by 2 sisters: Billie White and Mary Frances Gaskins, as well as, one brother, L.F. Corbitt.
Survivors Include:
Brother: Mann Corbitt and wife Debra of Axson, Ga.
Sister: Carol Gossage and husband Frank of Axson, Ga.
Special Niece: Susan Garrett and husband Glen of Axson, Ga.
Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Graveside services for Ms. Corbitt were held on Monday, April 11, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Axson, Ga. with Rev. William Pope officiating. Special musical selection included, “I Hope You Dance” rendered by cd. The interment followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
