Teresa Lee Taft

March 22, 1967 — August 30, 2021

Mrs. Teresa Lee Taft, age 54 of Pearson, Ga. passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga., following a brief illness.  She was born on March 22, 1967 in Blackshear, Ga., daughter of David Strickland and Vernelle Tuten.  Mrs. Taft made her home in the Alma and Atkinson County areas where she worked as a Veterinary Tech and attended New Bethel Church.  She had such a loving and giving heart and will always be remembered for putting everybody else before herself, making people laugh and playing and making memories with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.  Mrs. Taft was preceded in death, along with her parents, by 2 sisters; Vivian Bailey and Donna Martin.

Survivors include:

Husband:  Robert "Buddy" Taft of Pearson, Ga.

Daughter:  Amanda Lewis and husband, Chad of Fitzgerald, Ga.

3 Sons:  Kyle Keuker of Gainesville, Fla.

             Mathew Keuker of Gainesville, Fla.

             Wayne Wade of Alma, Ga.

2 Sisters:  Inez Harrell and husband, Davy of Baxley, Ga.

                Patricia Hersey of Jacksonville, Fla.

Special Friend:  Jewel Shaw of Pearson, Ga.

3 Grandchildren:  Maddux Lee of Alma, Ga.

                          Amelia Lewis of Fitzgerald, Ga.

                          Chloe Lewis of Fitzgerald, Ga.

Several nieces, nephews and cousins along with many other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Taft were held, Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at New Bethel Church in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. J.A. Anderson officiating.  Special musical selections included, "Amazing Grace" and "I'm Already There".  The interment followed in New Bethel Church Cemetery.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
