Steve Lamar Scott

Mr. Steve Lamar Scott, age 58 of Willacoochee, Ga. passed away, Saturday, November 20, 2021, at his home, due to injuries sustained in a house fire. He was born, May 23, 1963, in Douglas, Ga., son of Grady Lamar Scott and Edith Hunkapillar.  Mr. Scott made his home in Willacoochee where he worked with mobile home manufacturers, Live Oak Homes and attended Willacoochee First Baptist Church.  Mr. Scott enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time outdoors.  He was preceded in death, along with his parents, by a sister, Dale Roe

Survivors include:

Daughter:  Amber Fraughton and husband, Jared of Saratoga Springs, Ut.

2 Brothers:  Chris Scott and wife, Marian of Fredericksburg, Va.

                  Dave Scott of Macon, Ga.

Sister:  Pam Lott and husband, Ralph of Willacoochee, Ga.

Granddaughter:  Cora Fraughton

Funeral services for Mr. Scott were held, Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Willacoochee First Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Joiner and Rev. Joseph Taft officiating.  Special musical selections included,
“When I Get Where I’m Going” and “Go Rest High”, both rendered by cd.  The interment followed in the Willacoochee City Cemetery in Willacoochee, Ga.

Serving as active pallbearers were:  Matt Harrell, Wayne Mixon, Timmy Hall, Louis Ortega, Rhen Davis and Richard Kirkland.  Serving as honorary pallbearers were:  Blain Kirkland, Kyle Kirkland and Ralph Lott.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
