Mrs. Sheila K. Martin, age 60 of Axson, Ga. passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga. following an extended illness. A native of Atlanta. Ga., Ms. Martin was born December l9, l960, daughter of James H. and Judith Karen Stone Roberts. She had made her home in Axson since l996 and worked at First String Space in Pearson, Ga. in the receiving department until poor health forced her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to the beach and watching CSI Miami. She was a member of the Axson Church of God of Prophecy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Hal Roberts and a sister, Ann Coe. Survivors include: Husband: Rickey Davis of Axson, Ga. 2 Sons: William F. Martin, Jr. and wife Lindsey of Valdosta, Ga. Jeremy Davis of Douglas, Ga. 2 Daughters: Tonya Lynn Braswell and husband John of Jacksonville, Fl. Kayla L. Davis of Douglas, Ga. Brother: Robbie Roberts of Griffin, Ga. 8 Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Ms. Martin were held on Monday, February 15, 2021at 11:00 A.M. at the Axson Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Steve Anderson, Bro. Steve Sirmans, and Rev. Chris Boyd officiating. Eulogies were given by her son, Will Martin and Jonathan Wright of First String Space. Special musical selections included “Through the Years” and “Go Rest High on That Mountain” presented by cd. The interment followed in Axson Cemetery with “Amazing Grace” by Loretta Boyd. Serving as active pallbearers were, Fisher Davis, Steve Adams, Billy Winters, Randall White, Kenneth Haskins and Bryan Wiggins. Honorary pallbearers were, Barry Lang, Glenda Lang, Casey Stevens, Tammy Roundtree, and Joe Atkinson. Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
