Shannon McQuaig White

November 10, 1979 — March 12, 2021

Mrs. Shannon McQuaig White, age 41 of Willacoochee, Ga., formerly of Douglas, Ga., passed away Friday, March 12, 2021, at Advent Health in Orlando, Florida, following a brief illness.  A native of Coffee County, Mrs. White was born, November 10, 1979, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Joseph and Hazel Annette Crews McQuaig.  Shannon enjoyed arts and crafts, woodworking, and most importantly spending time with family and friends.  If you were blessed to know Shannon, you knew her happiness and joy came from making others feel that same way.  She was a true example of pure Christ-like love that will live on through the legacy of her children. 

Survivors include:

Husband:  Kelly “Macky” White of Willacoochee, Ga.

Son:  Hunter White of Willacoochee, Ga.

3 Daughters:  Kaylee Johnson of Willacoochee, Ga.

                     Gracie Johnson of Willacoochee, Ga.

                     Kami White of Willacoochee, Ga.

5 Sisters:  Frances Boggan and husband, Terry of Pearson, Ga.

                Cynthia Futch and husband, Arthur of Douglas, Ga.

                April Cribbs of Douglas, Ga.

                Stacey Cothern and husband, Randy of Douglas, Ga.

                Michelle Mickler of Melbourne, Fla.

Mother-in-law:  Lila White of Axson, Ga.

Brother-in-law:  David White and wife, Paige of Pearson, Ga.

Sister-in-law:  Kayla Wise and husband, Dan of Axson, Ga.

20 Nieces and Nephews along with several cousins and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. White were held, Thursday, March 18, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Union Hill Church with Bro. Stevie Sirmans officiating with the Eulogy presented by Paige White.  Special musical selections included, “Go Rest High on that Mountain”, “Thank You for Giving to the Lord” and “When I’m Gone” all rendered by cd.  The interment followed in Union Hill Cemetery in Pearson, Ga.

Serving as active pallbearers were Cody Cribbs, Maxwell White, Tyler Youngblood, Daniel Davis, Sam Selph, Matthew McQuaig and Braxton White.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
