Shannon Denise Hollinger

Mrs. Shannon Denise Hollinger, age 43, of West Green, Ga. passed away Monday, January 28, 2025, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga. 

Born September 24, 1981, in Charleston, S. C., Mrs. Hollinger had made her home in Atkinson and Coffee County for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Thurza Plowden Murray. She worked in car sales as an assistant manager with B & D Used Car Sales. She loved her children and grandchildren, going on trips, the beach and being outdoors. She attended Indian Mound Church. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by granddaughter, Wrenlee Grace Davis, and grandfather, Charles Emmitt Plowden, Jr.

Husband: Billy Hollinger of West Green, Ga.

3 Sons: Johnny Farrell Davis III (Victoria Quinonez) of Douglas, Ga.

             Matthew Dillon Davis (Samantha Kay) of Waycross, Ga.

             Tyler Alexander Mahoney of Douglas, Ga.

3 Daughters: Ariel Louise Fuller (Lupe Lopez) of Millwood, Ga.

                     Alexis Raines Griffis (Galen Blane) of Douglas, Ga.

                     Jayden Aaliyah Hollinger of Waycross, Ga.

5 Sisters: Jennifer Leigh Murray of Waycross, Ga.

                Misty Michelle Murray (Alex Galvan) of Hoboken, Ga.

                Christy Ann Murray of Millwood, Ga.

                Chrissy Faith Payne (Rita Payne) of Wilsonville, Ga

                Peggy Ann Wright (Dustin) of Pearson, Ga.

13 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. 

Funeral services for Mrs. Hollinger were held on Monday, February 03, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Indian Mound Church in Millwood, Ga. with Rev. Clayton Davis officiating. Special music included “Miracle in Me” and “Farther Along” presented by Regina Delk and Kandy Thrift with Andy Williams accompanying on the piano. The internment followed in Indian Mound Cemetery with special music “Amazing Grace” presented by Regina Delk and Kandy Thrift.

Pallbearers were Ariel Fuller, Alexis Griffis, Johnny Davis III, Jayden Hollinger, Galen Griffis, Johnny Davis, Jr., and Bill Hollinger. 

Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
