Rose Martin Davis

Mrs. Roselee “Rose” Martin Davis, age 89 of Pearson, Ga. passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Vista Park Health and Rehabilitation in Douglas, Ga. following an extended illness. Mrs. Davis was born April 11, 1930 in Nicholls, Ga., daughter of the late J. B. and Okella Taylor Martin. She had made her home in Pearson, Ga. for most of her life and retired from Cady Bag Co. after forty plus years of employment as Director of Human Resources. Her favorite pastimes were sewing, reading and crocheting. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pearson, Ga.. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, a son, Foster T. “Den” Davis, Jr., a sister, Anglee Little and a brother, Joe Martin. Survivors include: Husband: Foster Davis of Pearson, Ga. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Davis were held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Relihan Funeral Home Chapel in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Jerry Worzella officiating. Special music included “The Promise” rendered by cd. Soft music for the Prelude and Postlude was by cd. The interment followed in Satilla Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were: Jerome Crosby, Travis Ursery, William White, Lamar Woodall, Adam Barnes, and L.H. James. Honorary pallbearers were: Wanda and Connie Walker, William Cady, Alonza Cady, Lorene Morris, Quillan Taft, Kay McCranie, Susan Cady Brooker, Wade Brown, Jimmy Dale Cribb, Buck Newbern and Ashley Vickers. Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
