Paul "Bunky" Tyre, Jr.

Mr. Paul "Bunky" Tyre, Jr., age 85 of Pearson, Ga. passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021, at his home following an extended illness.  He was born, October 5, 1936, in Ware County, Ga., to Paul, Sr. and Martha Giddens Tyre.  Mr. Tyre made his home in Pearson.  He was retired from the Florida East Coast Railroad Company and was a Veteran of the US Army.  Mr. Tyre was of the Primitive Baptist faith and attended both Refuge and Red Bluff Baptist Church here in Pearson.  He was preceded in death, along with his parents, by his wife, Julean Dixon Tyre. 

Survivors include:

Son: Michael Tyre and wife Melinda of Douglas, Ga

Daughter: Paula Brady and husband Scott of Windermere, Fl.

Stepsons:  Joey Butler of St. Augustine, Fl.

                     Jeffrey Butler and wife Deana of St. Cloud, Fl.

Stepdaughter:  Janie Davis of Clarkesville, Ga.

11 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren, and several other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Tyre will be held Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at 12:00 P.M. at Relihan Funeral Home Chapel in Pearson, Ga. with Elder Alton Carver officiating. Special musical selections included, “Heaven’s Now My Home” rendered by cd.  The interment will be held in Ben James Cemetery in Blackshear, Ga.

Serving as active pallbearers were:  Scott Brady, Ethan Brady, James Capps and Michael Powell.
