Patricia Jackson Batten

Mrs. Patricia Jackson Batten, age 72 of Pearson, Ga., passed away Monday, August 10, 2020 at her home following a brief illness.  A native of Calhoun, Ga., Mrs. Batten was born, February 11, 1948, daughter of Azel Jackson and Easter Louise Shelton.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed talking of the phone and working with flowers.  Mrs. Batten attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in Pearson, Ga.  She was preceded in death, along with her parents, by her husband, M.D. Batten.

Survivors include:

2 Sons:  Mark Batten and wife, Jody of Pearson, Ga.

             Tracy Batten and wife, Stacy of Pearson, Ga.

2 Daughters:  Karen Stalvey and husband, Richard of Hinesville, Ga.

                     Tammy Moore of Douglas, Ga.

Sister:  Barbara Myers of Dalton, Ga

7 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Batten were held, Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Relihan Funeral Home Chapel in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Elaine Keen and Rev. Hardy Crosby officiating.  Special musical selections included, "Dancing in the Sky" and "Go Rest Hight on that Mountain" rendered by c.d.  The interment followed in Satilla Memorial Gardens in Douglas, Ga.

Serving as active pallbearers were:  Cody McDonald, Jacob Batten, Andrew Batten, Tyler Batten, Corey Moore and Darryl Davis.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
