Mr. Mark Anthony “Andy” Cofield, age 58 of Axson, Ga. passed away Monday, August 19, 2024, in Choudrant, La.

A native of Atkinson County, Mr. Cofield was born March 19, 1966, son of Harvey Cofield and Patsy Walker Kirkland. He was an OTR truck driver who enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Cofield attended Stokesville Baptist Church and Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Mr. Cofield was preceded in death by his father Harvey Cofield and stepfather, Sears Kirkland.

Survivors include:

Wife: Abby Cofield of Axson, Ga.

Daughter: Adrienne Cofield of Boston, Mass.

2 Sons: Marcus Cofield and wife Hannah of Pearson, Ga.

              Matthew Cofield and wife Alexis of Pearson, Ga.

Mother: Patsy Walker of Pearson, Ga.

Brother: David Cofield and wife Cheryl of Culleoka, Tn.

Sister: Pamela McMillon and husband Emmett of Crestview, Fl.

2 Grandchildren: Huntlee Mark and Ryder James Cofield

Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Cofield were held on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 4:00 P.M. at Stokesville Baptist Church with Rev. Leroy Spivey, Rev. Walter James, and Rev. Edward Mathews officiating. Special music included “Touring That City” and “Rose Among Thorns” rendered by cd. Soft music for the Prelude and the Postlude was by Patty Spivey, pianist. The interment followed in Stokesville Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers were Cam Coffee, Cleeg Mathews, Robbie Mancil, Bren Mullis, Reef Mullis, and Tyler Cofield.

Honorary pallbearers were Randy Griffin, Wade Tanner, Clifton Mathews, Wayne Smith, Ed O’Brien, and John Lindsey.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
