Margaret O'Brien Mizell

Mrs. Margaret O’Brien Mizell, age 94, of Pearson, Ga. passed away, Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga. following an extended illness. Mrs. Mizell was born March 1, l924 in Douglas, Ga., daughter of Henry and Minnie Spivey O’Brien. She had made her home in Pearson, Ga. for most of her life and worked at the Atkinson County Board of Education as Secretary for 26 years. She was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church for many years before poor health kept her from attending regularly. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, M. C. Mizell.Survivors include:3 Sons: Corbitt Mizell and wife Carolyn of Macon, Ga.             Stanley Mizell of Pearson, Ga.             Billy Mizell and wife Marion of Douglas, Ga.   6 Grandchildren: Melissa Carol Devor and husband Neil of Calabasas, Ca.                              Matthew Corbitt Mizell of Salt Lake City, Utah                              Aimee Michelle Lee and husband Scott of Broomfield, Co.                              Amanda Lynn Hansen and husband Christian of Salt Lake City, Utah                              Donna Melinda Mizell of San Diego, Ca.                              Brien Waddelle Mizell of Atlanta, Ga.   13 Grandchildren: Courtney Mizell, Parker Lee, Corbitt Mizell, Savannah Devor, Owen Lee, Addison Lee, Brady Mizell, Matthew Devor, Michael Mizell, Gabriel Fritsch, Omar Fritsch, Evie Hansen, and Calden Hansen. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.Funeral services for Mrs. Mizell were held, Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Rafael Estrada officiating. The eulogy was given by her son, Stanley Mizell. Prelude and Postlude music was by Marsha Morris, organist. The interment followed in Holy Family Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were: Craig Morris, Kelly Morris, John Corbitt, Ed O’Brien, Mike O’Brien and Joey O'Brien. Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
