Mr. Marc Gregory Metts, age 47 years old, of Willacoochee, Ga. passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at the Savannah Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Ga.

Marc G. Metts was born on June 21st,1977 son of Daryl Jerome and Rebecca Smith Metts. He was very loved by friends and family and attended Beulah Church in Willacoochee, GA. Mr. Metts enjoyed farming with his father, growing cotton, peanuts, and corn. He was also an accomplished lawyer in Douglas, Ga. where he spent many days representing clients in many successful court cases. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two children, Aaron Malone Metts and Asher Elijah Metts, and their mother Christy Nugent Metts, sister, Mrs. Deborah Metts Williamson, brother-in-law Brian Martin Williamson, and his nephew and niece Andrew (Drew) James Williamson and Anna Katherine Williamson. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Mary Ruth Malone Smith and Willie 5/8 Smith and Doris English Metts and Russell Metts. 

Funeral services for Mr. Metts were held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at Beulah Church in Willacoochee, Ga. with Rev. Kolby Lawrence officiating. The eulogy was given by Marc’s sister Deborah Metts Willaimson. Special music included “Just A Little Talk With Jesus” by Buelah Church Choir and “Victory In Jesus” by the attending congregation with Tammy Paulk accompanying by piano. Soft music for Prelude and Postlude was provided by pianist Tammy Paulk. The interment followed in Hebron Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers were: Marty Hampton, Michael Hampton, Cole Dorsey, Jonathon Smith, Terry Roberson, and Cliff Heath.

Serving as honorary pallbearers were: Marlin Smith, Josh Grantham, Brian Williamson, Drew Williamson, and members of the Bridgetown Sportsman Club.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
