Lurainie Crosby Delk

September 9, 1952 — February 25, 2022

Mrs. Lurainie Crosby Delk, age 69 of Axson, Ga. passed away Friday, February 25, 2022, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga. following a short illness.  She was born in Douglas, Ga. on September 9, 1952 to Allen and Delouise Henderson Crosby.  Mrs. Lurainie made her home in Atkinson County where she enjoyed being a homemaker and along with her husband, raised her family.  She attended the Pearson Church of God of Prophecy and was preceded in death, along with her parents, by her husband, W.M. Delk, and two brothers; Alton "Buddy" Crosby and James Williams Crosby.

Survivors include:

Sons: Donnie Lee Spivey and wife Thelma of Pearson, Ga.

         George Spivey of Pearson Ga.

Brothers: Rev. Robert Crosby and wife Bonnie of Sylvester, Ga.

               Rev. Hardy Crosby and wife Lona of Axson, Ga.

               Allen Dewayne Crosby of Axson, Ga.

               Leon Crosby of Axson, Ga.

Sisters:    Mary Rainwater of Pearson, Ga.

               Linnie Faye Moore and husband Ricky of Axson, Ga.

               Brenda Frost and husband James of Douglas, Ga.

Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Delk were held Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Pearson Church of God of Prophecy with her brothers, Rev. Hardy Crosby and Rev. Robert Crosby officiating.  Special musical selections included, "Amazing Grace", "Stroll Over Heaven" and "Ring Those Golden Bells" all rendered by cd.  The interment followed in Jowers Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers were:  Chris Moore, Jeffrey Spivey, Wade Harper, Peyton Harper, Candan Mizell, Danny Crosby and Roger Mizell.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
