Mr. Larry Wayne Burch, age 70 of Axson, Ga., passed away, Friday, May 14, 2021 at his home following a short illness. A native of Douglas, Ga., Mr. Burch was born December 28, 1950, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Riley, Sr., and Hazel Harper Burch. After working many years with Ga. Pacific Company in Pearson, Mr. Burch went on to work in the maintenance department of South Ga. College in Douglas, Ga. He was a member of Axson Church of God of Prophecy and enjoyed playing golf and being with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Burch, along with his parents, was preceded in death by his sister; Sandra Bridges and sister-in-law; Pat Burch.

Son: Dr. Keith Burch and wife, Lynda of Waycross, Ga.
Special Son: Al Thomas of Waycross, Ga.
Daughter: Hope Burch Blaxton of Norman Park, Ga.
2 Brothers: Jerry Burch of Axson, Ga.
Johnny Burch and wife, Gail of Axson, Ga.
Special Niece: Kim Chavis of Axson, Ga.
6 Grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Burch were held, Monday, May 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Axson Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Steven Anderson, Bishop Billy Adams, Bishop Lawrence Jackson, and Bishop Dannie Hix officiating. Special musical selections included, “Goodness of God”, “I Can Only Imagine” and “How Great Thou Art” all rendered by soloist, Harvey Sailors on the keyboard. Soft music for the Prelude and Postlude was also provided by keyboardist, Harvey Sailors. The interment followed in the Axson Cemetery.
Serving as active pallbearers were: Marvin McDaniel, John Kersey, Jerry Hierling, James Partain, Alton Rowland and Ricky Knox.
Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
