Mrs. Kathleen D. Sutton, age 68 of Axson, Ga., passed away, Friday, January 24, 2020 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga., following an extended illness.
A native of Miami, Fl., Mrs. Sutton was born February 8, l951, daughter of Loren and Donnie Kate Wilds White. She and her family located back to Axson in the sixties. She was a homemaker, loved flowers, being with her grandchildren and family and going to yard sales. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Carlene Rogers, Lorene Compton and Pauline Sutton.
Survivors include:
Husband: Wayne Sutton of Axson, Ga.
2 Sons: Charles Sutton and wife Stephanie of Axson, Ga.
Brian Sutton and wife Angel of Valdosta, Ga.
Brother: Jimmy White of Lakeland, Fl.
5 Grandchildren: Shelby White, Loren Sutton, Clara Sutton, Jade Sutton, and Chase Sutton.
2 Great-Grandchildren: Aria Batista and Bray White
Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Sutton were held, Monday, January 27, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery with Rev. Edward Mathews officiating. Special music included “Dancing in the Sky” and “Flowers for Mama” by CD. The interment followed in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery.
Serving as active pallbearers were: Billy Joe Sutton, Jesse White, Mark Sutton, Johnny Burch, Loren “Binky” White, and Michael Hardee.
Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
