Mrs. Katherine Gaskins Tucker, age 84 years old, of Willacoochee, Ga. passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Ga. She was born March 12, 1939, in Willacoochee, Ga., daughter of Burnell and Kathleen Moore Gaskins. After her graduation from Atkinson County High School, Mrs. Tucker attended Andrew College, where she played on the basketball team, and went on to finish her bachelor's degree in education at Valdosta State University. After 33 wonderful years of teaching, Mrs. Tucker spent her time giving music and piano lessons, tending to her flowers, going to Barney to get fresh peaches, and cheering on the Atlanta Braves. Most importantly, she loved being with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, making memories with them that will last a lifetime. Mrs. Tucker was a member of Beulah Church and was preceded in death, along with her parents, by her husband, Darrell Tucker, husband, Carl McCranie, and sister, Dorothy Sue Paulk.

Mark Tucker and wife Angie of Willacoochee, Ga.
2 Daughters: Kathy Farabow and husband Tommy of Broxton, Ga.
Carmen Day and husband Scott of Ambrose, Ga.
Sister: Margaret Shealey and husband Ray of Willacoochee, Ga.
Long time best friend: Mrs. Louise Jacobs of Willacoochee, Ga.
10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Tucker were held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Beulah Church with Rev. Eddie Morrison officiating. Special musical selections included, "There Was Jesus" by cd, congregational hymn, “In the Garden”, and "Beulah Land" rendered by soloist and pianist, Tammy Paulk. Soft music for the Prelude and Postlude was provided by Tammy Paulk, pianist. The interment followed in Willacoochee City Cemetery.
Serving as active pallbearers were: Michael Tucker, Marcus Tucker, Corey Rodriguez, Jonathan Farabow, Jordan Farabow, Connor Farabow, Tyler Mikell, and Rob Feliciano.
Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
