Katherine McKinnon

Mrs. Katherine McKinnon, age 64 years old of Pearson, Ga., passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Ga. following an extended illness.  She was born in Lakeland, Ga. on December 11, 1958, daughter of Elie Gordon Register and Eloise Giddens.  Mrs. McKinnon made her home in Pearson, where she enjoyed spending time working in her flowers and making memories with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She would always make you smile, with her great sense of humor and heart of gold.  Mrs. McKinnon never met a stranger and will always be remembered for her ready and willingness to help anyone around who needed it.  She was preceded in death, along with her parents, by her son, Jerry Brandon McKinnon, one sister, Jean Thigpen, and brother, Leon Register.  

Survivors include: Daughter: Jamie White and Chet Bennett of Pearson, Ga. Son: Bryan McKinnon and wife Gena of Augusta, Ga. Brothers: Michael Register and wife Teresa of Blackshear, Ga., Dewayne Register of Lakeland, Ga. Sisters: Lynda Rowe of Pearson, Ga., Quay McClaine and husband Ivie of Dupont, Ga., Cheryl Dailey of Augusta, Ga. Grandchildren: Hannah McKinnon, Bailey McKinnon, Austin White, and Justin White.  Great Grandchildren: Wyatt McKinnon, Bo McKinnon, and Addy White.  Several nieces, nephews, along with many other relatives also survive.

Memorialization was by cremation.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
