Mrs. Joann Bennett Gardner age 68 of Pearson, Ga. passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Vista Place in Douglas, Ga. following a extended illness.
Born December 24, l950 in Berrien County, Mrs. Gardner was the daughter of Harvey Hoke and Otha Lee Benefield Bennett. She had made her home in Pearson for most of he life and worked in the mobile home industry as a service worker. She was a member of Covenant Outreach Ministries in Pearson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Walter Scott “Wally” Gardner, 3 brothers, Harvey Lee Bennett, Charles Edward “Scamp” Bennett, William Thomas “Powell” Bennett and sister, Carrie Sue McDonald.
Survivors include:
Son: Hoke “Bank” Beals of Pearson, Ga.
Brother: Pal Bennett and wife Donna of Pearson, Ga.
Sister: Willene Carter of Pearson, Ga.
Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gardner were held at 2:00 P. M. Saturday, February 02, 20l9 at Relihan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Spivey officiating. Special musical selections included, “Will the Circle be Unbroken”, “Precious Memories”, and “Amazing Grace” presented by cd. “Sheltered in the Arms of God” was rendered by Penny James with cd accompaniment. Prelude and Postlude music was by cd.
Memorialization was by cremation.
Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA. was in charge of the arrangements.
