Ms. Joan Marie Lee, age 60 of Pearson, Ga. passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at Memorial Satilla Health Hospital in Waycross, Ga. following an extended illness. A native of Douglas, Ga., Ms. Joan was born, December 29, 1960 daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delmas Henry and Elmarie Lee Lott. She worked many years as a C.N.A. with Unison Health in Pearson, Ga. and later worked as a clerk with L & M Distribution in Willacoochee, Ga., until her health started to decline. Joan had a strong Christian faith and even though her health was failing, she continued doing what she had always done best, serving, and caring for those around her. Joan enjoyed going on “Cousin Cruises”, along with many other activities and hobbies, but if you were blessed to know Joan, you know her most treasured and blessed time was spent making memories with her many friends and family. Ms. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, along with her brother, Gardie Lee. Survivors include: Brother: Derryl Lee and wife Cathy of Waycross, Ga. Nephew: Dustin Lee and wife Kelly of Axson, Ga. Great-Nephew: Finn Lee Several other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Ms. Lee were held on Monday, January 4, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Relihan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Kersey and Bro. Joey Pittman officiating. Special musical numbers included, “Leave it There” rendered by soloist, Stephen Dixon on the guitar. The interment followed in Hargraves Cemetery with song, “Amazing Grace” sung by those in attendance accompanied by guitarist, Stephen Dixon. Serving as active pallbearers were: Scott Fogle, Devin Fogle, Allen Lott, Kevin Davis, Kyle Lee, Curtis Lee, Barry Cox and Wade Carver. Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
