Mr. Jerry L. Conger, age 70, of Willacoochee, Ga., passed away Monday, October 21, 2024, at his home in Willacoochee, Ga. following an extended illness.

Born May 11, l954, Mr. Conger was the son of the late Charlie and Maedell Duggan Conger. He made his home in Willacoochee and worked for Elixer Industries in Douglas, Ga, as a supervisor for many years. He enjoyed riding in his golf cart, fishing, and spending time with his family and attended the Willacoochee Church of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Carolyn Conger and a nephew, Gregory Conger.

Survivors include:

2 Daughters: Kellie Dyan Douglas and husband Greg of Willacoochee, Ga. 

                     Geri LeAnn Rodriguez and husband Ignacio of Willacoochee, Ga.

Son: Kyle Moore and wife Kelsey of Lake City, Fl.

Sister: Barbara Luke and husband Ottis of Willacoochee, Ga.

2 Brothers: Charles Conger and wife Margarett of Willacoochee, Ga.

                   Clarence Conger of Willacoochee, Ga.

Grandchildren: Jaycelynn Howard and husband Allen, Beyonce Williams and husband Quantavious, Cenaya Rodriguez, Soleil Rodriguez, Emiliana Rodriguez, Johnny Murray, and Sawyer Hayes Moore.

Great- Grandchildren: Mariana Analeesa and Maverick Ignacio Howard

Special Friends: Rick Mathis, Fred Wells, and Leniece Bustos

Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Conger were held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at the Willacoochee Church of God with Bishop Keith Harper and Bishop Tom Rice officiating. Special music included “I Want to Stroll Over Heaven with You”, “Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone)”, “Build My Mansion” presented by cd, and “Shepards Call” rendered by Keith Harper and accompanied by Kayce Harper and Lavonda Pittman. The interment followed in Willacoochee City Cemetery with special musical selections” The Old Violin” and “Farewell Party”.

Serving as active pallbearers were, Lee Pittman, Logan Harper, Allen Howard, Matt Harrell, Johnny Murray, Andrew Spivey, Hank Christman, and Jake Christman.

Honorary pallbearers were Members of the Pearson and Willacoochee Senior Citizen Centers.

Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
