Jed Quincey Harrell

Mr. Jed Harrell, age 70, of Pearson, Ga. passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019 in Pearson, Ga. following an extended illness. Jed was born December 27, l948 in Douglas, Ga. to the late J. Q. and Gladys Giddens Harrell. He had made his home in Pearson all his life and was a graduate of the Atkinson County High School class of l966. He was retired from Ga. Pacific as Planer Mill Supervisor. He enjoyed western movies, horses, shooting pistols, doing carpenter work and playing the guitar.  Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Kristan Smith and husband Dusty of Pearson, Ga. Jill Spivey and husband Robert of Pearson, Ga. 2 Brothers:  Bennie Harrell of Pearson, Ga. Dale Harrell and wife Bobbie of Pearson, Ga. Sister: Delane Dees and husband Peter of Mt. Vernon, Ga. 3 Grandchildren:  Job Spivey, Jude Spivey, and Ila McGowan Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Harrell were held on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Rev. Robert Spivey officiating. Special music included “Amazing Grace” rendered by Rev. Robert Spivey who accompanied himself on the guitar. The interment followed in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. The family ask that memorials be made to Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery fund. Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of all the arrangements.
