Ingrid Stone Whitley

Ms. Ingrid Allene Stone Whitley, age 45 years old of Pearson, Ga., passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at St. Vincent Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla., following an extended illness.  She was born in Douglas, Ga. on May 7, 1977, daughter of Woodrow and Brenda Davis Stone.  Ingrid was a homemaker who enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends, and especially her family.  She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow Stone, Jr. and her husband, Mike Whitley.  Though she is physically no longer with us, Ingrid’s example of service to others, and enduring to the end, along with her testimony of the gospel and her love of the Savior, will continue to shine bright.

Survivors include:

Mother:  Brenda Stone of Pearson, Ga.

Daughter:  Jessica Michelle Whitley of Pearson, Ga.

Son:  Michael Leon Whitley, Jr. of Pearson, Ga.

3 Brothers:  Craig Stone and wife, Sharon of Pearson, Ga.

                    Jody Stone of Pearson, Ga.

                    Scott Stone and wife, Brooke of Pearson, Ga.

Stepdaughter:  Erica Bunyard and husband, Wes of Douglas, Ga.

2 Stepsons:  Clifford Whitley and wife, Brittany of Douglas, Ga.

                    Michael Whitley and wife, Shelley of Douglas, Ga.

Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Ms. Ingrid were held, Friday, April 14, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Pearson, Ga. with Bro. David White and Bro. Stevie Sirmans officiating.  Special musical selections included, “On the Wings of a Dove” and “Bowed on My Knees and Cried Holy”, both rendered by soloist, Tammy Altman, with cd accompaniment.  The interment followed in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, with dedication of the grave given by Bro. Michael Davis.

Serving as active pallbearers were:  Craig Stone, Jody Stone, Scott Stone, Bran Stone, Michael Whitley, Jr., Camden Stone, and S.J. Stone.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
