Mrs. Eunice Marie Palmer White, age 64, of Axson, Ga. passed away, Friday, September 18, 2020 at Macon Coliseum Hospital in Macon, Ga., following a short illness.
A native of Atkinson County, Mrs. White was born May 29, l956, daughter of James R. “Short” and Betty Wood Palmer. She had been employed as a Para-Pro for many years at Pearson Elementary School and was a member of Elbethel Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roy White and a brother, Larry Palmer.
Survivors include:
2 Daughters: Michelle White of Axson, Ga.
Regina Lankford and husband, Wyman of Axson, Ga.
Brother: Terry Palmer and wife, Lita of Pearson, Ga.
Sister: Dorothy Mercer and husband, Pete of St. Mary's, Ga.
5 Grandchildren: Luke, Michaela and Claudia Rowell, Travis Burkett and Waylon Lankford.
Several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral Services for Mrs. White were held, Monday, September 21, 2020 at Elbethel Church in Pearson, Ga. at 11:00 A.M. with Sister Catherine Tanner and Brother Steve Sirmans officiating. Special music included “The Sun’s Coming Up In The Morning” rendered by Tammy Altman with Bob Andrews accompanying on guitar and “Amazing Grace” rendered by the attending congregation with Bob Andrews leading and accompanying on guitar. Soft music for the Prelude and Postlude was by Phil Liles, pianist. The interment followed in Axson Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were: Lewis Rivers, Derrick White, Chad Palmer, Danny Sikes, Andy Mercer, and Lance Bryan.
Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
