Donna Lee Shilling

Mrs. Donna Lee Shilling, age 80 of Axson, Ga. passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Satilla Regional Hospital in Waycross Ga. following an extended illness.  She was born April 22, 1942, in the state of Maine, daughter of Carmine and May Howard Franco.  Mrs. Shilling made her home in Florida, and, the last 40 years, here in South Georgia, where she was a homemaker and took great pride in raising her large family.  She loved reading, crocheting, and spending time with her family and friends and taking care of her grandchildren.  Mrs. Shilling was preceded in death, along with her parents, by her daughter, Christina Reliford and son, Michael Kimmerling. 

Survivors include:

5 Sons:  Edward Kimmerling and wife Melissa of Ray City, Ga.

                    Allen Kimmerling of Axson, Ga.

                    Timothy Kimmerling of Lakeland, Ga.

                    Carl Kimmerling and wife Brenda of Willacoochee, Ga.

                    Joseph Kimmerling of Valdosta, Ga.

3 Sisters:  Linda Pettit and husband Dennis of Burbank, Ca.

                 Suzanne Ellis of Alabama

                 Robin McDonald of Titusville, Fl.

2 Stepsisters:  Pattie and Cookie

26 Grandchildren, 28 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

A visitation was held for Mrs. Shilling on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Relihan Funeral Home.

The family will hold a Memorial service for Mrs. Shilling at a later date.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
