Mrs. Debra Lou Montoya, age 58, of Douglas, Ga. passed away Monday, December 16, 2024, at the Satilla Hospice House in Waycross, Ga. following an extended illness.
Born January 10, l966, in Munich, Germany, Mrs. Montoya was the daughter of the late Arthur James “Jim”, Jr. and Eveline Sewell Bryce. She lived most of her life in Coffee County, was of the Christian Faith, and worked in retail as manager at the Dollar Tree. She enjoyed writing poems, drawing, fishing, and her beloved pet Boogie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Bryce.

2 Sons: James Johnson of Douglas, Ga.
Wendall Johnson of Douglas, Ga.
Daughter: Brandi Spivey (Alli Purvis) of Pearson, Ga.
Sister: Theresa Leggett (Scott) of Harris, Ga.
Sister-in-law: Mary Ann Bryce of Douglas, Ga.
7 Grandchildren: Austin Chaney, Skylar Johnson, Dane Johnson, Caden Johnson, Angelina Johnson, T.J. Spivey, and Andi Spivey.
Beloved Pet: Boogie
Funeral services for Mrs. Montoya were held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the Relihan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Dees officiating. Special musical selections “Go Rest High” and “If Tomorrow Never Comes” were rendered by cd. The interment followed in Satilla Memorial Gardens.
Serving as active pallbearers were, Keven Johnson, Adam Johnson, Tillman Spivey,
T. J. Spivey, Scott Leggett and Brandon Jones.
Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
