Mrs. Coline Kirkland Corbitt, age 60, of Pearson, Ga. passed away, Thursday, February 21, 20l9, at her home surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with cancer.
A native of Atkinson County, Mrs. Corbitt was born December 30, l958, daughter of Adolphus and Shirley Taylor Kirkland. She was a l976 graduate of Atkinson County High School and worked for a number of years at Pearson Elementary School. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Pearson Ward. She was preceded in death by her father, Adolphus Kirkland, Sr.

Joe Kirkland and wife Carla of Blackshear, Ga.
Tony Kirkland and wife Cathy of Baxley, Ga.
Richard Kirkland and wife Vickey of Willacoochee, Ga.
Roy Kirkland of Valdosta, Ga.
3 Sisters: Deborah Nobles and husband Mike of Panama City, Fl.
Wanda Kirkland of Atlanta, Ga.
Michele Kirkland of Valdosta, Ga.
14 Grandchildren: Maxell, Eden and Braxton White: Gavin, Morgan and Maggie Corbitt:
Zion, Piper, Kamora, Casper, Stallone, Southern, Mads and Scout Waldron.
Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Corbitt were held Sunday, February 24, 20l9, at 2:00 P. M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Pearson, Ga. with Bishop Clee Sirmans, Brother Darrell Spikes and Brother Steve Sirmans officiating. Special music included “Be Still My Soul” and “Nearer My God to Thee” rendered by Jessica Moore with Linda Hood accompanying at the piano. Music for the Prelude and Postlude was by Linda Hood pianist. The interment followed in Union Hill Cemetery with Marcus Corbitt singing “In The Garden” accompanied by Andrew Hester on the guitar. The dedication of the grave was given by Mrs. Corbitt’s son, Marcus Corbitt.
Serving as active pallbearers were: David White, Maxwell White, Marcus Corbitt, Gavin Corbitt, Rocky Waldron, Braxton White and Zion Waldron.
Honorary pallbearers were: Mads Waldron, Stallone Waldron and Casper Waldron.
Relihan Funeral home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
