OBITUARY                                                                                                      MR. CHARLES LADSON        

Mr. Charles Edward Ladson, Jr. age 49, of Douglas, Ga. passed away, Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga. following an extended illness.

 

Born April 22, l970 in Lanier County, Mr. Ladson lived most of his life in Coffee County, where he worked as a mechanic and escort driver. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching wrestling on tv. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of Desert Storm. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Ladson, Sr. and his mother and the father that raised him, M. J. and Carolyn Niceler Davis.

 

Survivors include:

Wife:  Mary Taylor Ladson of Douglas, Ga.

2 Sons:  Clint Carter and wife, Jasmine of Douglas, Ga.

             Butler Ladson of Fernandina Beach, Fla.

2 Daughters:  Crystal Carter of Douglas, Ga.

                     Amber Carter Pittman and husband, Ralph of Waycross, Ga.

3 Brothers:  Mike Jewell of Pearson, Ga.

                  Tony Jewell and wife, Sandy of Ray City, Ga.

                  Mark Ladson and wife Becky of Nashville, Ga.

3 Sisters:  Rebecca Scott of Pearson, Ga.

                Sandy Hudson and husband, Jerry of Douglas, Ga.

                Chrystal Vining and husband, Brian of Douglas, Ga.

6 Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

 

Funeral Services for Mr. Ladson were held, Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Willacoochee Church of God with Rev. Lance Taylor officiating.  Special musical selections included, “Jealous of the Angels”, “Go Rest High on that Mountain” and “I Can Only Imagine” were presented by cd. Prelude and Postlude music was by cd. The interment followed in the Willacoochee City Cemetery with the dedication of the grave by Elder Jimmy Taylor. 

 

Serving as active pallbearers were: Danny McGuire, Jay Beecher, James Murray, Joe Warner, Josh Jewell, Marshall Courdle and Larry Quinn.

 

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
