Cathy Lynn Corbitt Ragan

May 30, 1958 — August 25, 2021

Mrs. Cathy Lynn Corbitt Ragan, age 63 of Blackshear, Ga. passed away, Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross, Ga., following a brief illness.  She was born, May 30, 1958, in Albany, Ga. to Jathon and Ethel Newmans Corbitt.  Mrs. Ragan had made her home in the Richmond Hill area before moving Blackshear.  She was a homemaker who loved and lived for her grandchildren and sisters.  Mrs. Ragan was preceded in death, along with her parents, by her brother; Donald Corbitt and sister; JoAnne Corbitt Lane.

Survivors include:

Husband:  Everette Ragan of Blackshear, Ga.

3 Stepdaughters:  Heather Lynn Fandrich and husband, Nolan of Blackshear, Ga.

                             Brandi Jones and husband, Jesse of Lawrenceville, Ga.

                             Courtney Ragan of Norcross, Ga.

Sister:  Lisa Stewart and husband, Russell of Blackshear, Ga.

4 Grandchildren:  Hannah, Emily, Ryan, and Natalie Fandrich

Several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives also survive.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Ragan were held, Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. at Willacoochee City Cemetery in Willacoochee, Ga. with her husband, Mr. Everette Ragan, delivering the message along with many special memories of his wife.  Special musical selections included, “Go Rest High on that Mountain”, “Just One Rose Will Do” and “Amazing Grace” all rendered by cd.  The interment followed in Willacoochee City Cemetery with Mrs. Ragan’s brother-in-law, Russell Stewart, offering the closing prayer.

Serving as active pallbearers were:  Trevor Lane, Russell Stewart, Austin Stewart, Jesse Jones, Nolan Fandrich and Zack Griffin.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
