Mrs. Bonnie L. Bennett, age 59 of Waycross, Ga. passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022, at UF Health Shands in Gainesville, Fl. following an extended illness. She was born in Leesburg, Florida on August 1, 1962, daughter of Linton Clark Brown and Betty Jean O’Steen Hester. Mrs. Bennett made her home in the Coffee and Ware County areas where she raised her family, and served as Deputy Clerk for the Charlton County Clerk of Court. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reading, but most importantly, she loved spending time with and supporting her family, especially her grandchildren. Those special memories will forever be cherished.
Mrs. Bennett was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was preceded in death by her father, Linton Clark Brown and stepfather, Willie Hester.
Survivors include:
Husband: Danny Bennett of Waycross, Ga.
Daughter: Dawn Coffee and husband Craig of Willacoochee, Ga.
Son: Ben Bennett of Springdale, Ar.
Mother: Betty Jean Hester of Folkston, Ga.
Brother: Warren Brown and wife Renae of Douglas, Ga.
Sister: Vicki Brown Hale and Tim Carter of Folkston, Ga.
Stepchildren: Briana, Lucinda, Danny and family.
4 Grandchildren: Jase Rish, Dane Rish, Lexi Bennett, and Cally Coffee
Several other relatives also survive.
Memorial services for Mrs. Bennett were held on Friday, June 3, 2022, at 3:00 P.M. in Pearson, Ga. at Relihan Funeral Home Chapel with Pres. Timothy Fussell officiating. Special musical selections included, “Go Rest High” rendered by soloist, Saranan Bennett Hardee with Joey Fussell accompanying on the guitar.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were: Employees of the Charlton County Clerk of Court Office.
Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
