Betty H. Walker

Mrs. Betty H. Walker, age 71, of Willacoochee, Ga. passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga.

Survivors include:

Son: Wayne Mixon and wife Toni of Elkhart, In.

Daughter: Angie Joiner and husband Russell of Alapaha, Ga.

Brother: Daniel Hunkapiller and wife Margie of Willacoochee, Ga.

6 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Mrs. Walker is preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Levi “Jack” Walker, parents, Troy and Ovaleen Walley-Hunkapiller, brother, Kenneth Hunkapiller, and 3 sisters, Edith Scott, Helen Merritt, and Gloria Steverson.

Funeral services for Mrs. Walker were held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the Willacoochee First Baptist Church in Willacoochee, Ga. with Rev. Joe Taft and Rev. David Rowe officiating. The internment followed in the Willacoochee City Cemetery.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. at the Willacoochee First Baptist Church in Willacoochee, Ga.
