Allen Ray Jewell

November 1, 1972 — January 13, 2022

Mr. Allen Ray Jewell, age 49 of Nicholls, Ga., passed away, Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga., following a brief illness.  He was born, November 1, 1972, in Ocilla, Ga. to William Harvey “Billy” and Loleta Fender Jewell.  Mr. Jewell made his home in South Georgia where he was a 1991 Graduate of Atkinson County High School and worked in the shipping and inventory control department with Cady Bag Company in Pearson, Ga.  He enjoyed fishing, football, baseball and especially spending time and making memories with his friends and family.  Mr. Jewell was preceded in death, along with his parents, by 4 brothers: Bill Jewell, Jr, Bobby Jewell, Danny Jewell, and Michael Jewell, as well as one sister, Shannon Jewell Taft. 

Survivors include:

Wife:  Kimberly Jewell of Nicholls, Ga.

Daughter:  Jasmine Luke and husband, Evan of Ocilla, Ga.

Brother:  Johnny Jewell and wife, Tonya of Blackshear, Ga.

5 Sisters:  Diane Vining and husband, Terry of Pearson, Ga.

                Debbie Burch and husband, Ronnie of Nicholls, Ga.

                Tammy Walker and husband, Robert Johnson of Valdosta, Ga.

                Donna Day and husband, Jamey of Brunswick, Ga.

                Alice Hamilton and husband, Bing of Pearson, Ga.

2 Grandchildren:  Raylee & Gunnar Luke

Several nieces, nephews, and cousins along with several other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Jewell were held, Monday, January 17, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Relihan Funeral Home Chapel in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Mark Joyce, Mr. Frank Hoffman, and Rev. Jimmy Jordan officiating.  Special musical selections included, “Jealous of the Angels”, “My Little Girl”, and “You Raise Me Up” all rendered by cd.  The interment followed in Willacoochee City Cemetery with special song, “Go Rest High” by cd.

Serving as active pallbearers were:  Bernard Zimmerman, Ryan Cribb, Wade Bennett, Will Hamilton, Chad Day, and Colt Day. 

Serving as honorary pallbearers were:  Johnny Gillis, Wendell Barlow, and Michael Jacobs.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga was in charge of the arrangements.
