OBITUARY ALFRED LEE PURVIS Mr. Alfred Lee Purvis, age 75, of Nashville, Ga. passed away Friday, April 19, 2019 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Ga. Mr. Purvis was born September 8, l943 in Coffee County, son of Albert and Henrietta Cribbs Purvis. He had made his home in Nashville for many years and was a retired farmer. He was a member of Nashville Holiness Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Lee Jewell Purvis, 2 brothers, Quitman Purvis and Tillman Purvis, 2 sisters, Sammie Lou Watson and Florence Purvis. Survivors include: . 2 Sons: Daniel Purvis and wife Kate of Dunnellon, Fl. Roger Giddens and wife Stacy of Adel, Ga. 2 Daughters: Sandra Davis of Nashville, Ga. Mary Ann Robinette of Nashville, Ga. Special Friend: Margaret NeSmith of Nashville, Ga. Brother: Hilton Purvis of Willacoochee, Ga. 2 Sisters: Mary Alice Burch of Douglas, Ga. Dorothy Mae Taylor of Douglas, Ga. 9 Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Purvis were held, Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Johnny Smith officiating. Special musical selections included, “Will the Circle be Unbroken”, “Through the Fire”, and “Amazing Grace” presented by cd. The interment followed in Willacoochee City Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were Johnny Craig Robinette, Stanley Williams, Carlie Burch, McKenzie Burch, Dwayne Benefield and Larry Warren, Jr. Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
