OBITUARY ANNE MARY EVANS CORBETT Anne Mary Evans Corbett died April 15, 2009 at Presbyterian Retirement Home in Quitman, Ga. at age 9l. She was born May 16, l9l7 in Coolidge, Thomas County, Georgia and lived in Pearson, Ga. from l938 to 2002. Her parents were Emory Luther and Callye Cay Evans. Anne Mary attended GSWC in Valdosta, graduated from the University of Georgia and was a teacher at Pearson High School before her marriage to Thomas Corbett. She worked with her husband in their family business, The Corbett Bank until l964. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pearson, Ga.. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Bill Thomas of Valdosta. Ga., 2 grandchildren and their spouses, Suzanne and David Withers of Mt. Pleasant, S. C., and Jason and Shannon Thomas of Athens, Ga.. "Mae" was a very faithful and loving wife, mother and grandmother with a delightful sense of humor and winning smile. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Corbett and grandson, Jeff Thomas. Visitation will be held at Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. from 3 to 5 P. M. Friday afternoon. Afterwards there will be a Private Family Graveside Service at Sweetwater Cemetery. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
