McDuffie age 87 of Willacoochee, Ga. passed away Sunday, May 10, 2009 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga. following an extended illness. Survivors include. Born November 8, 1921 in Irwin County, Mrs. McDuffie was the daughter of Henry and Louriday Wilson Hall. She had worked for many years as a custodian for the Atkinson County School System and was a member of the Willacoochee Senior Citizens Center. Her church membership was at Willacoochee Fist Baptist Church. Her husband John Dennis McDuffie preceded her in death Survivors Include:. 1 Son: Glenn McDuffie of Willacoochee, Ga. 3 Grandchildren: Ricky Wayne McDuffie of Willacoochee, Ga. Glenn Christopher McDuffie of Willacoochee, Ga. Sharon Louise Hall and husband Benny of Pearson, Ga. Several Step Children Several Step Grandchildren 4 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. McDuffie were held at 3:00 P. M. Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at the Willacoochee First Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Huffstuttler and Rev. Mike Paulk officiating. Her nephew Donnie Chaney gave the Eulogy. Special musical selections included " I Shall Not Be Moved" by members of the Willacoochee Senior Citizens Center accompanied by Bonnie Kunberger pianist. "Amazing Grace" by soloist Shirley Segrest with tape accompaniment and " Go Rest High On That Mountain" by CD. Bonnie Kunberger pianist played soft music for the Prelude and the Postlude. The interment followed in the Willacoochee City Cemetery with "When I Get Where I'm Going" played by tape at the gravesite. Serving as active pallbearers were: Jeremy Chaney, Brandon Adams, Bobby Shatto, Michael Whitley, Tommy Young and Johnathan Lott. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Willacoochee Senior Citizens Center.
