MAIN STREET POST OFFICE BOX 38 Pearson, Georgia 31642 (912) 422-3221 Fax 912-422-3222 Mr. Edward Lavonne Wells age 75 of Pearson, Ga. passed away Sunday, May 17, 2009 at his residence following an extended illness. Born September 8, l933 in Atkinson County, Mr. Wells was the son of Harry and Bertha Douglas Wells. He was retired from the maintenance department of the City of Macon and was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict Era. He was preceded in death by a son Willis Wells and a sister Shirley Garner. Survivors include: 2 Sons: Frank Wells and Mitchell Wells of Macon, Ga. 2 Brothers: Thomas Wells of Pearson, Ga. Fred Wells of Nahunta, Ga. 4 Sisters: Rebecca Lenge of Brunswick, Ga. Ernestine Tomberlin and husband Jimmy of Cairo, Ga. Wanda May and husband John of Pelham, Ga. Linda Garner and husband Doyle of Pearson, Ga. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Wells were held at l:00 P. M. Wednesday May 20, 2009 at Sunnyside Cemetery with Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. The interment followed in Sunnyside Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were: John Smith, Jason Smith, Eddie Tomberlin, Nathaniel Wells, Jeffery May and Ashley Smith. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
