Mrs. Louise McRae age 85 of Pearson, Ga. passed away Monday, March 29, 20l0 at Shady Acres Convalescent Center in Douglas, Ga. following an extended illness. A native of Bainbridge, Ga., Mrs. McRae was born January 18, 1925 daughter of Leon and Hazel Miller Gainey. She had made her home in Brandon, Fl. for many years before moving to Pearson five years ago. She was a homemaker and attended the First Baptist Church in Pearson, Ga. Her husband Paul Winton McRae preceded her in death. Survivors include: 1 Son: Chris McRae of Pearson, Ga. 1 Daughter: Lila Apple and husband Barry of Oldsmar, Fl. 3 Brothers: Douglas Gainey of Atlanta, Ga. Albert Gainey of Atlanta, Ga. Bill Gainey of Memphis, Tenn. 1 Sister: Linda Gainey of Washington, D. C. 3 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. McRae were held Friday, April 2, 2010 at 11:00 A. M. at the First Baptist Church in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Jerry Worzella officiating. Special music included "Amazing Grace" (Instrumental) by organist Candace Brown and "Blessed Assurance" rendered by the attending congregation accompanied by Candace Brown organist. Candace Brown organist played soft music for the Prelude and the Postlude. The interment was held at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens in Brandon, Fl. on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 3:00 P. M.. Serving as active pallbearers were: Wade Brown, L. H. James, Keith Wall, William White, Foster Davis and Travis Ursrey.
