Mrs. Martha M. Lang age 87 of Douglas, Ga. formerly of Axson, Ga. passed away Tuesday, April 13, 20l0 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga. following a short illness. Born April 12, l923 in Coffee County, Mrs. Lang had made her home in Atkinson County for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Millie Elizabeth Fredrick Morris and the widow of the late Marshall Lang. She was a homemaker and a member of Red Bluff Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include; 2 Stepsons: William Lang of Waycross, Ga. Leland Lang of Chiefland, Fl. 1 Brother: Ellie Morris and wife Sue of Pearson, Ga. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Lang were held at 2:00 P. M. Friday, April 16, 20l0 at Axson Evangelistic Church with Elder Alvin Johnson officiating. Special musical selections included "There is a Land of Pure Delight" and "Dear Friends Farewell I Do You Tell" rendered by the Primitive Baptist Singers. The interment followed in Axson Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were: Jesse Earl Morris, Beecher Wayne Morris, Terry Morris, Jerry Morris, Johnny Bates and Charles Smith.
