Mrs. Derotha "Roe" Taft Mancil age 94 of Pearson, Ga. passed away Wednesday, May 19, 20l0 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga. following a short illness. Born December l9, l9l5 in a part of Coffee County that is now Atkinson County, Mrs. Mancil was the daughter of George and Ann Jane Daniels Taft. She was a homemaker and attended Sunnyside Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband McAdoo Mancil. Survivors include: 1 Sister: Alma Lang of Callahan, Fl. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Mancil were held 11:00 A. M. Friday, May 21, 20l0 at Sunnyside Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Sim Youngblood officiating. Special music included "How Great Thou Art" rendered by soloist Harold Vickers with taped accompaniment and "Amazing Grace" rendered by the attending congregation with Margaret Williams accompanying at the piano. Soft music for the Prelude and the Postlude was provided by Margaret Williams pianist. The interment followed in Satilla Memorial Gardens. Serving as active pallbearers were: G. D. Moorre, Larry Johnson, David Moore, Quillan Taft, Clifford Taft, D. B. Morris and Gary Johnson. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
