Linda Jean Anderson

Mrs. Linda Anderson age 36 of Willacoochee, Ga. passed away Sunday morning July 18, 20l0 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga. following a brief illness. A native of Jacksonville, Fl. Mrs. Anderson was born June 5, l974 daughter of the late James Clifford Newcomb and Mrs. Lois Jean Hurlbert Cooper. She had made her home in Atkinson County for most of her life and was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include: Husband: Lewis James Anderson of Willacoochee, Ga. Mother and Stepfather: Lois Jean and Darryl Cooper of Axson, Ga. 1 Stepson: Dusty Lewis Anderson 2 Stepdaughters: Melinda Anderson Billie Jean Anderson of Willacoochee, Ga. Grandfather: Junior Hurlbert of Axson, Ga. 2 Brothers: Derrick Newcomb and wife Ginger of Pearson, Ga. James Clifford Newcomb, Jr. of Valdosta, Ga. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Anderson were held at 11:00 A. M. Thursday, July 22, 20l0 at Sunnyside Cemetery with Rev. Clyde Purvis officiating. Special musical selections included "Daughter's Eyes", "Sending Me Angels", "I'll Fly Away", and "Go Rest High On That Mountain" with CD accompaniment. The interment followed in the Sunnyside Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were: Glenn McDuffie, Lamar Leavens, J.W. Anderson, Randall Cribbs, Rodney Crews, and Dale Lanier. Honorary pallbearers were Keith Roberts and Dennis Sangray. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson was in charge of the arrangements.
