Mrs. Sara Elizabeth Lang age 84 of Pearson, Ga. passed away Sunday Feb. 6, 20ll at her home following an extended illness. Born February 1, l927 in Echols County Georgia, Mrs. Lang was the daughter of James Charles and Pauline Belote Rewis. She had made her home in Atkinson County for most of her life, was a homemaker and a member of Axson United Methodist Church. Preceding her in death was her husband Mack Lang. Survivors include: 5 Sons: James Lang and wife Jody of Orlando, Fl. Stan Lang and wife Daphine of Pearson, Ga. Alex Lang and friend Mary Kate of Pearson, Ga. Steve Lang and wife Sharon of Pearson, Ga. Barry Lang and wife Glenda of Pearson, Ga. 8 Grandchildren, 2 Step Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, 3 Step Great Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Lang were held Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Axson United Methodist Church with Rev. Evelyn Duvall and Rev. Kyle Giddens officiating. Special musical selections included "What a Day That Will Be", Beulah Land", "The Revelation Song" all rendered by Mrs. Lang's grandson, John Lang and "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem" and "Amazing Grace" rendered by the congregation with John Lang, pianist. Soft music for the Prelude and Postlude were provided by John Lang, pianist. The interment followed in the Axson Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were her sons; James Lang, Stan Lang, Alex Lang, Steve Lang, Barry Lang and nephew, Homer Lang. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
