Mrs. Stella Mae Graham Neugent age 83 of Pearson, Ga. passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011 at her daughter's home in Homerville, Ga. following an extended illness. A native of Ambrose, Ga., Mrs. Neugent was born on March 24, 1928, daughter of Bennie and Mary Kitchen Hawkins. She worked for many years as a caregiver for the elderly. She was a member of Ozias Freewill Baptist Church in Pearson, Ga.. Mrs. Neugent was preceded in death by her first husband, Mr. Willie Graham. Survivors include: Husband: Ben Neugent of Pearson, Ga. 2 Sons: Herman Graham of Douglas, Ga. Donell Graham of Valdosta, Ga. 2 Daughters: Annie Ruth Corbitt and husband Raymond of Homerville, Ga. Kathryn Graham of Axson, Ga. 3 Step-Children: Allen Neugent of Woodbridge, N.J. Ann Holligan of Arlington, Tx. Ken Neugent of Miami, Fl. 8 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grand Children, several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Neugent were held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Ozias Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Special music selections were"Go Rest High On That Mountain", "Anchors Holds", and "Beulah Land" rendered by Danny Holmes with cd accompaniment. Soft Prelude and Postlude was provided by Joyce Johnson. The interment followed in Salem Church Cemetery in Douglas, Ga. Serving as active pallbearers were Jimmy Gaskins, Russell Graham,Colton Gaskins, Nicholas Graham, Myron Graham, and Tim Pressley. Honorary pallbearers were Brian Browning, Rudy Scaggs, Terry Morrell, Collin Rodriguez, Roy Herrin, and B.W. Herrin Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
