Beulah Mae Adams

Mrs. Beulah Mae (Tookie) Adams, age 75 of Axson, Ga. passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Lakeland Villa Convalescent Center in Lakeland, Ga. following an extended illness. A native of Atkinson County, Ga., Mrs. Adams was born on August 26, 1935, daughter of Roy and Sarah Crosby Mizell. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Adams, a son Wayne Adams and a grandson, Owen White. Survivors include: 1 Daughter: Marsha Hornsby and husband Bill of Axson, Ga. Mother: Sarah Crosby Mizell of Axson, Ga. 3 Brothers: Roy Mizell, Jr. and wife Doris of Axson, Ga. Donald Mizell and wife Reba of Axson, Ga. James O. Mizell and wife Katherine of Axson, Ga. 2 Sisters: Anna Boone of Axson, Ga. Madeline Dillingham and husband Glenn of Willacoochee, Ga. 3 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Graveside funeral services and interment for Mrs. Adams were held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Mt Zion Cemetery with Bishop Steve Sirmans officiating. Serving as active pallbearers were: Lee Mizell, Kevin Dillingham, Travis Mizell, Brad Mizell, Damon Mizell and Grayson Davis. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
