Earl Kenneth McMillan

Mr. Earl Kenneth McMillan age 82 of Lilburn, Ga. passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012. Earl was a native of Willacoochee. A retired U.S. Navy veteran serving active duty from 1948 to 1968, a member of Fleet Reserve until 1978 and was still an active member of Fleet Reserve Branch #89. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1989 after 20 Years of Service. He was a Master Mason in the Tucker Masonic Lodge #42 F&AM, a member of the Ticker Shrine Club and the Yaarab Shrine Temple Atlanta and an active member at Cedar Lake Golf Club. Survivors include: his wife of 63 years, Wynelle McMillan; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Carolyn McMillan of Lawrenceville; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Wayne Carter of Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Brad McMillan, Matt Carter, Amy and Kevin Thompson; great granddaughter, Kensley Thompson; brother, J.Q. McMillan of Willacoochee; sisters, Florence Futch of Willacoochee and Florene Bobo of McDonough; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Mr. McMillan will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Willacoochee Cemetery.
