Mr. Kenneth Irvin Cecil age 74 of Pearson, Ga., formerly of Cumberland, Md. passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga. following an brief illness. A native of LaVelle, Maryland, Mr. Cecil has made his home in Pearson, Ga. for the past 11 years. He was born on July 15, 1938, the son of Irwin and Delores Smith Cecil. Mr. retired from CSX, where he worked as a machinist/mechanic for 16 years. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Pearson, Ga. Mr. Cecil was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Ben Cecil. Survivors include: Wife: Virginia Cecil of Pearson, Ga. 7 Sons: Kenneth Wade Cecil of Buffalo Valley, Tenn. David Eugene Cecil and wife Janine of Sally Daisy, Tenn. Douglas Todd Cecil of Sacramento, Ca. Ronald Wesley Cecil and wife Doraliza of Spanish Fork, Ut. Daniel Scott Cecil of Provo, Ut. Timothy Mark Cecil and wife Tonya of Pearson, Ga. Bryant Jadd Cecil and wife Kimberly of Waycross, Ga. 2 Sisters: Teresa Brooks of Orange City, Fl. Linda Carter of Orange City, Fl. 16 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild, and several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Cecil will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday,November 15, 2012 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Pearson, Ga. with Bishop Kevin Merrell and Bishop David Huett officiating. The interment will follow at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Cumberland, Md. The family will be receiving friends from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Pearson, Ga.
