W.M. Delk

Mr. W. M. Delk age 85 of Axson, Ga. passed away Friday morning at his residence following an extended illness. Born June 15, l927 in Clinch County, Mr. Delk was the son of Clifford and Liza Giddens Delk. He was a retired truck driver, a Veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps and a member of Lang's Country Church. He was preceded in death by a son Winston Delk. Survivors include: 4 Daughters: Eva Delk Cook and (Erman), Pearson, Ga. Patricia Roberson and (Joe),Nashville, Ga. Beulah Bradford of Nashville, Ga. Janice Nisen and (Johnny), Ray City, Ga. 6 Sons: Ralph Delk and (Faye), Valdosta, Ga. James Delk and (Mary Ann), Sparks, Ga. Wiley Delk and (Bobbie),Nashville, Ga. Carl Delk and (Deborah),Nashville, Ga. Johnny Delk and (Sherry),Pearson, Ga. Lonnie Griffis Delk of Douglas, Ga. Former Wife and Caregiver: Lurainie Crosby Delk of Pearson, Ga. 2 Brothers: Roscoe Delk of San Antonio, Texas Ken J. Delk of Atlanta, Ga. 4 Aunts: Doris Stalvey, Lorie Pittman, & Naomi Jeffords all of Homerville, Ga. Evelyn Capan of Jacksonville, Fl. 21 Grandchildren, 36 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild and several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Delk will be held at 11:00 A. M. Tuesday morning at Lang's Country Church with Rev. Raymond Cason and Rev. Hardy Crosby officiating. The interment will follow in Lang's Church Cemetery.
