Mr. Matthew (Matt) Horton age 23 of Willacoochee, Ga. passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 in Nashville, Ga. from injuries received in an auto accident. His sister Kelly Prescott age 32 passed away from injuries received in the same accident. Born April l8, l990 in Lakeland, Ga. Matt was the son of Darrell and Dean Harper Horton. He worked at TLC Molding Plant in Willacoochee as a forklift driver. He loved to fish, hunt and had a genuine passion for playing softball. He was a member of Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Nashville, Ga. Survivors include: Parents: Darrell and Dean Horton of Willacoochee, Ga. Son: Skyler Horton of Willacoochee, Ga. Daughter: Mackenzie Horton of Willacoochee, Ga. 3 Sisters: Hiedi Mancil and husband Red of Willacoochee, Ga. Amanda Horton and Fiancé Pablo Castillo of Willacoochee, Ga. Laura Steverson and husband Kevin of Willacoochee, Ga. 2 Brothers: Allen Horton of Willacoochee, Ga. Danny Horton and wife Alicia of Willacoochee, Ga. Fiancé: Kim Summey of Willacoochee, Ga. 2 Stepchildren: Kortnee and Logan Steed of Willacoochee, Ga. Maternal Grandmother: Doris Anderson of Willacoochee, Ga. Brother-in-law: Staff Sgt. Terry Prescott, Jr. USMC of Willacoochee, Ga. Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Matt Horton were held at 2:00 P. M. Sunday, November l7, 2013 at Abundant Life Church in Nashville, Ga. with Pastor Raymond Cason, Rev. Michael Harper and Rev. Jerry Baldree officiating. Special musical selections included, "Meet Me Halfway" by CD which included a slideshow of Matt and Kelly, "Mama" and "Address in the Stars" by CD, "Go Rest High on That Mountain" rendered by Charles and Tammy Wood with Charles accompanying on the guitar and "Break Every Chain" rendered by soloist Jessica Whitaker who accompanied herself on the keyboard. Soft music for the Prelude and the Postlude was provided by Jessica Whitaker. The interment followed in the Willacoochee City Cemetery.
